In 2012, iSee Taiwan Foundation launched a series of projects, to highlight aspects of Taiwan’s food, culture and tourism industries. The “Food for Fun: Calling all Culinary Experiences” competition was an effort by members of the public, to rediscover the hidden gems eateries which had stories to tell. The Food for Fun project beautifully reflected the taste, the fun and the warmth of Taiwanese people, successfully attracting overseas visitors.

As a part of the human QR code project, co-sponsor Chunghwa Post also issued 20,000 limited edition postcards in eight different designs. The cards could be post marked on site on the day of the event. Members of the public were then encouraged to send the postcards to family and friends overseas, inviting them to come experience Taiwan’s beauty.

Through the QR code activities, the two Foundations showed their determination in the field of training talent as well as marketing Taiwan’s local culture. The QR Code event reinforced the objectives of “Sail Taiwan into the world through service training and put Taiwan on the map through cultural tourism” subsequently enhancing Taiwan’s service industry ability to compete in the global market.
