In time of difficulty, Taiwan is always there to dedicate her love and care. Expediting humanitarian aid in its utmost haste, the iSee Taiwan Foundation (“the Foundation”) surmounted 1,300 kilometers of logistic conundrum, strode across Germany and Poland to hand over the most pressing necessities to the people and hospitals in Ukraine, practicing the love and unselfishness of Taiwan.
Ms. Audrey Yang, the Vice Chairman of the Foundation received the news about urgent local needs in late March. Immediately, she reached out to her contacts in Germany to purchase chronic disease medications and life necessities, and sourced trustworthy logistic companies to make the delivery. When the supplies arrived at their destinations, the hospital staff noticed the “iSee Taiwan Foundation” tape on the boxes and conveyed their regards to the Foundation. These medications, they said, saved a lot of patients who were endangered due to the shortage of chronic disease medications, while the rice, noodles and other necessities prevented thousands of people from hunger. The aid came in time and its receivers were utterly moved.
The Foundation has persisted its vision and mission to spread love and care from Taiwan to the world. It is meaningful and heartening to be able to lend a hand to the war-ridden Ukraine and deliver the urgent aid unscathed. The local helpers put up notes “I SEE TAIWAN FOUNDATION/MEDICATION FOR UKRAINE/HUMANITARIAN AID”, indicating where the supplies were from. The aid became a way for people there to see and know about Taiwan, and a symbol of Taiwan’s love and devotion to the world.
