Citrus fruits—that sun-kissed family of aromatic gems from the Rutaceae family──encompass a dazzling array of oranges, pomelos, lemons, and grapefruits, with natural and artificial hybridization yielding approximately 200 varieties that paint our world in shades of amber and gold. Yet when Taiwanese locals speak of "citrus," they're typically referring to just one branch of this vast family tree: the humble orange.
